Title: Noninvasive imaging of intracranial aneurysms: initial diagnosis in subarachnoid hemorrhage and follow-up after endovascular treatment
Promotor(s): prof. M. Oudkerk
Faculty: Medical Sciences
For the diagnosis of subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by a ruptured intracranial aneurysm it is no longer necessary to perform intracranial catheterization. This thesis shows that Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) provides equal, or even better diagnostic possibilities. CTA has evolved to become the new diagnostic standard imaging modality in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage and enables rapid assessment and treatment stratification of ruptured intracranial aneurysms.
