Stéphanie Cazaux receives VIDI grant
Stephanie Cazaux has received a NWO VIDI grant. The title of the grant is: "Interstellar dust: the hidden protagonists".
Interstellar dust: the hidden protagonists
Stars are born in an environment consisting of gas and dust particles. The chemistry that takes place on these dust particles influences the formation of stars and is also responsible for the presence of molecules necessary for the emergence of life. This project will concentrate on the impact of grain surface chemistry on the origin of stars and on the molecular complexity observed in star forming regions. For this purpose, we will combine laboratory experiments, theory and astronomical observations.
