Verhoef and Wedel among the most prolific authors within the marketing discipline worldwide
The January 2009 issue of the international Journal of Marketing includes a ranking of marketing academics with a high research productivity. Two researchers of the FEB are in the top 50: prof Michel Wedel is ranked on position 11, and prof Peter Verhoef on 18.
The study (which examined 2672 scholars) focuses on publications in four leading marketing journals: Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research and Marketing Science.
Verhoef is Professor of Marketing at the FEB and focuses on customer management, customer loyalty and consumer well-being. Furthermore he is founder and director of the Customer Insights Center
Wedel is honorary professor of Market Research at the FEB and also holds the Pepsico Chair in Consumer Research at the Smith School of Business of the University of Maryland. Wedel's research focuses on methods and techniques in market research and the use of statistical en econometric methods to solve marketing problems.
