Science helps answering questions about good leadership and effective teamwork
How can I develop effective leadership in my organization? How can I stimulate creativity and innovation among my employees? What are the ingredients for the perfect team? These are the type of management questions that will be addressed on 18 September in the symposium 'Bridging Science and Practice' at the Faculty of Economics and Business. Researchers from the expertise centre HRM/OB will show how topical questions in organizations can be answered with the aid of scientific research. Keynote speaker will be Hein Knaapen, HR-director at KPN.
The symposium will offer four workshops within the themes of leadership, diversity, creativity, innovation and teamwork. Each workshop will bring together a researcher and a representative from an organization. In addition to a group of Master’s students, the symposium is organized by Janka Stoker, Professor in Leadership and Organizational Change and Gerben van der Vegt, Professor in Work and Organizational Psychology, both connected to the expertise centre Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour (HRM/OB).
