Responsible Leadership in Cultural and Religious Heritage

You must hold a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification at EQF Level 6, in a relevant field. Relevant fields include Religious Studies, Cultural Heritage, Anthropology, Sociology, History, Archaeology, Art History, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, Law, Political Sciences, Public Administration, (Cultural) Geography, Social Work, or a related discipline. You may also apply if you are in the final year of your Bachelor's degree, provided that you complete the degree before the official start of the programme.

Relevant professional, research, or voluntary experience may strengthen your application, particularly experience in heritage, cultural, or religious institutions or with community engagement, digital tools, or sustainability-related projects.

You must demonstrate strong academic performance, evidenced by a final grade equivalent to at least a Second Class Upper Division (2:1), or a minimum average of 75% or equivalent.

You must submit official academic transcripts and a grade list with an explanation of the grading system and the courses completed. Documents must be in English or accompanied by a certified English translation.

You must submit a CV in English. Europass format is recommended.

If you are shortlisted, you may be invited to an online interview to further assess your motivation, communication skills, and thematic alignment with RELIC.

You must demonstrate sufficient proficiency in English unless you qualify for an exemption. The following tests are accepted: • C1 Advanced (formerly CAE): minimum score 185 • C2 Proficiency (formerly CPE): minimum score 185 • IELTS: overall score 7.0, with no band below 6.5 • TOEFL iBT: overall score 100, with a minimum of 24 in Writing and 21 in Reading, Listening, and Speaking

Language certificates must be no older than two years at the time of application. Tests other than those listed above are not accepted.

You are exempt from submitting an English language test if you hold a Dutch VWO diploma, are a native speaker of English and completed your full secondary education in English, or completed a full Bachelor's degree of at least three years taught entirely in English.

Spanish language requirements for Mobility Pathway 2: If you apply for the Spanish-English mobility pathway, you must also demonstrate sufficient proficiency in Spanish. The following tests are accepted: • DELE C1 or C2: APTO (Pass) • SIELE Global Exam: S1-S5 equivalent to CEFR C1, with no component below B2 • TELC Español C1: C1, Pass

Spanish language certificates must be no older than two years at the time of application. You are exempt from submitting a Spanish language test if you are a native speaker of Spanish and completed your full secondary education in Spanish, or completed a full Bachelor's degree of at least three years taught entirely in Spanish.

If you follow the English mobility pathway but wish to write your Master's thesis at a Spanish- language partner institution in Semester 4, you must demonstrate C1 Spanish when applying for thesis supervision.

You must submit one letter of recommendation using the provided template, preferably from your Bachelor's thesis supervisor or another academic referee familiar with your academic work.

You must submit a motivation letter in English of no more than 750 words. It should explain your academic and/or professional background, why RELIC is relevant to your interests and goals, how you intend to apply the programme's outcomes in your future professional practice or academic research, and your preferred mobility pathway.

You may optionally submit proof of socio-economic vulnerability. This can be taken into account as part of RELIC's fairness, diversity, and inclusion policy.
