Introduction day

The BA programme Arts, Culture and Media officially starts with the Introduction Day, in which you will get the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the programme and the supporting organization, but also meet the staff, your teacher-mentor, your first-year work group and the student mentors. The Introduction Day will be concluded with an activity that is organized in collaboration with our study association IK.

Meet your mentor & Picnic Lunch
Your mentor will take you and your mentor group on a tour and a Picnic Lunch at the Noorderplantsoen. You will get a free lunch (please sign up), and plenty of opportunities to meet new people and to hang out. |

City tour
Your mentor will take you on a tour of the city centre, starting at the Harmonie building, taking you past important landmarks and places that might be useful during your time in the city. This tour will take about an hour.

Scavenger Hunt
You will meet up with your mentors at the Harmonie building, where you will be split into groups and sent out into the city with a list of tasks and questions which can be performed or found within Groningen (might require some creativity). You will get 3 hours to perform as many tasks as possible, competing with the other groups for a prize. |

Museum Day
Your mentor will take you into the university museum for a tour, where you also get an opportunity to meet with the Art History first-year students. This tour will last for about an hour, but you can stay for however long you like. |

Pub Crawl
Your mentor will take you on a pubcrawl: a tour through the city, hopping from bar to bar, after which all of the mentor groups will meet up again at a final location for the last rounds of drinks. This will last until approximately 23:00-00:00, and you have to pay for your own drinks.
