EcoMediaLab: A new interdisciplinary initiative for strategic communication for environmental action

Dr. Marc Esteve del Valle (Faculty of Arts, Center for Media and Journalism Studies) and dr. Tommaso Caselli (Faculty of Arts, Center for Language and Cognition) have founded the EcoMediaLab, an interdisciplinary research lab whose main mission is to promote strategic communication for environmental action.
Current research topics of the Lab involve climate misinformation, climate polarization, environmental impact of AI, Indigenous climate communication, and decarbonization and climate communication. EcoMediaLab's interdisciplinary nature combines methods from Natural Language Processing with theoretical frameworks and practices from Media Studies, Argumentation Theory, and Network Analysis.
For more information about the EcoMediaLab meetings, events, and workshops, please join the Lab’s mailing list (https://ecomedialab.org/#CONNECT) or email Marc (m.esteve.del.valle rug.nl).
