Supported by the Centre for Market Insights (CMI) at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA), it cuts through market hype by offering objective, data-driven overviews of the global and regional AI landscapes.

The platform features localised AI Ecosystem Maps to visualise regional AI clusters. Groningen is the leading AI hub of the three northern provinces of the Netherlands, with a growing concentration of AI startups across multiple sectors. This interactive map provides a real time overview of the AI ecosystem in the Province of Groningen. Use the map to explore where AI activity is concentrated within the province, identify local clusters, and gain a clear picture of the regional AI landscape.

AI tools and companies

RankmyAI continuously expands its database, tracking over 63,000 AI tools and companies, and measures software popularity and utility through explicit performance indicators. The database was conceptualised in early 2023 following the consumer explosion of tools like ChatGPT. It was built to solve market fragmentation by providing a transparent, un-hyped index that acts as a counter-weight to biased or sponsored AI recommendation lists.

Serving as more than a consumer guide, RankmyAI’s underlying structural data models are utilised by academic bodies, industry associations, and international organisations like the United Nations to monitor technical economic development.
