Vacancies Theme Coordinators

Organisation

Four Schools for Science & Society
Through the Schools, the University aims to provide a place where various academic disciplines can meet and join forces to conduct research projects, teach, and generally smooth the way for dialogue with and about society. We believe that by creating interdisciplinary innovation platforms, we can boost the societal impact of the UG.

The Jantina Tammes School is the University of Groningen’s interdisciplinary centre dedicated to digital society, technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

The Jantina Tammes School explores how societies can optimally benefit from and contribute to digitization, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI). Our motto: digital prosperity for all. On the one hand, we investigate the ways in which human-centred digital technologies and AI can be developed and applied. On the other hand, we study the coupling of digitization, datafication and different domains of society and how this affects the daily lives of citizens. We do this by engaging in multidisciplinary research and education, and in close cooperation with societal partners.
