Prof. dr. John van Engen (University of Notre Dame), renowned expert in the Devotio Moderna and late medieval piety, returns to Groningen to give a lecture about the pseudo-Eckhartian treatise Eckhart and the Layman. Specifically, he will explore the connections to female religious milieus.
