FSE Master's Introduction
During the FSE Master’s Introduction on Friday, 29 August from 10.00-12.00 in the Bernoulliborg, room 5161.0151, we will welcome new students and introduce them to the ins and outs of our faculty. This session is aimed at students new to the University of Groningen and the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE).
Introduction to the degree programme
On Friday 29 August, we will organise a brief introduction for our first year Energy and Environmental Sciences students. This will take place from 12:30 until 14:30 in the Feringa building in room 5616.0125.
On Monday, 1 September, we will organise a mandatory introduction day for all our first year Energy and Environmental Sciences students. We will start at 09.00 in the bernoulli building room 5161.0151. This introduction day includes a more detailed introduction to the programme, as well as to the first courses taught in block 1A.
The rest of the afternoon will be filled with fun activities, partially organised by our study association ATMOS and partially organised by the programma management in collaboration. The afternoon ends with drinks and snacks!
Information Market
The Information Market will be held on Tuesday, 2 September 2025 from 10:00-16:00 in the main hallway of the Energy Academy. It offers an opportunity for you to get all the information that you may need to start your journey here at the FSE outside the standard information regarding your programme.
Several organisations will be present at the market, ranging from external organisations offering help to (international) students to university departments offering various services to students. There will also be poffertjes and a barista available outside the venue throughout the day!
Introduction to the Dutch workshop
Curious about the Dutch? Unlock the secrets of Dutch culture during our workshop going Dutch; a crash course in culture & customs on 9 September 2025 from 17:00-19:00 @ BB 5161.0165. We will dive deep into the world of Dutch rituals, values and communication styles. We will also deal with essential habits unique to the Netherlands while exploring the drawbacks of stereotypes. Don't miss this chance to explore and connect with Dutch culture like never before!
