Expert meeting sustainable mobility

When:Tu 03-06-2014 10:00 - 12:00
Where:Raadszaal, City hall, Groningen

On 3rd of June, Urban Gro Lab will host an expert meeting on sustainable mobility in the Raadszaal of the city hall in Groningen. This event is held for a group of MSc students led by Assoc. Prof. Arnim Wiek from the Arizona State University School of Sustainability as part of their fieldwork in the Netherlands to learn about innovations in sustainable mobility and transportation planning.

During this meeting, Hans Vissier (Gemeente Groningen) will do a short talk about the innovations and transitions to sustainable mobility as taken by the municipality. Dr. Wiek, an expert on sustainability, transition and climate change, will reflect on this from his own experiences and best practices as observed during his trip around the Netherlands.

The goal of this meeting is to learn from each other and there is an opportunity for discussions with experts from University of Groningen (Spatial Planning & Environment), the municipality of Groningen and other interested organisations to come to terms with best practices on the area of sustainable mobility and how this can be implemented in Groningen and elsewhere.
Please contact Wendy Tan (w.g.z.tan@rug.nl) to sign up as we have limited spaces available. The program will be held in English.
