IBOS/ACTS

Integration of Biosynthesis and Organic Synthesis (IBOS) aims at a change of strategy in synthetic chemistry by integrating state-of-the-art organic chemistry and modern biochemistry and biotechnology. This will enable a new and sustainable future for more efficient industrial synthesis of ever more complex products, hand in hand with a drastic reduction of waste products. IBOS themes in which GBB scientists are involved are: Molecular Biology & Biosynthesis, Biotransformations, Bioinspired Organic Synthesis, and Bioprocess Engineering
