Washington State University Study Abroad Scholarships

• Study Abroad Scholarships are open to current students on any WSU campus.
  Please be aware some WSU Study Abroad Scholarships have additional eligibility criteria and require additional application materials.
• WSU scholarships can be awarded to all degree-seeking, undergraduate, graduate, international, and professional students.

Purposes: undergraduate, graduate, international, and professional students

Programmes: Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD studies in any field

• Most WSU scholarships can be applied toward the cost of studying abroad.
• Even if they are not specifically earmarked for study abroad, these funds may be used to pay for many of your program costs.
• To see if your current WSU scholarships will apply toward study abroad visit Student Financial Services Financial Aid for Study Abroad information.
• Many education abroad providers offer scholarships to students with strong academic records or financial need. Some providers set aside scholarship funds specifically for WSU students.
• Even if a provider does not allocate funds directly to WSU for study abroad students, they usually still have scholarship opportunities for students applying to their programs. Use our program search to find information about program(s) you are interested in.

application deadlines for WSU Study Abroad Scholarships:

• April 1 for summer programs
• May 1 for fall prorgrams
• November 1 for spring programs

For other WSU Scholarships that can be used for studying abroad, the application deadline is: January 31.

Application: To be considered for a WSU study abroad scholarship, you will need to:

• apply for a study abroad program through WSU;
• complete the scholarship questionnaire in the WSU study abroad application.

It is to your advantage to complete an application each year you are in attendance at WSU.
