Grant information:

Purposes: The Nokia Scholarship is intended to encourage efficient, fast-progressing doctoral studies and research in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) or in areas supporting the development of these branches of science.

  • Nokia Scholarships are granted to individuals pursuing a doctoral degree in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) or in areas supporting the development of these branches of science.
  • The Scholarship can be granted to a Finnish applicant for doctoral studies abroad.
  • Nokia Foundation can grant a scholarship up to 6,000 euros.
  • Scholarships are paid directly to the grantees.
  • A scholarship can be granted only once to the same individual.
  • The grantees of Nokia scholarships will be published in December on the Nokia Foundation website.

The applicant must receive a commitment statement from his/her principal supervisor, who must be a professor, docent, or senior scientist at the university at which the student is pursuing their degree.
