Additional information

Eligible candidates:

Must be:

(a) Pursuing a graduate degree at an accredited university (preferably, but not limited to, a sub-Saharan African institution), or

(b) Have completed a doctoral degree within the past 10 years

Research must be related to human origins (earth sciences or botany)

Grant information:

Purposes: To advance the education and research capacity of East African scholars working in fields critical to the study of human origins, such as geology, paleontology, and botany.

Graduate (Master’s or PhD) studies or postdoctoral research in:

  • Earth Sciences
  • Botany
  • Paleontology
  • Geology
  • Human Origins Research
