Eligible candidates:
  • The applicant's educational background may also be from a non-business background and represent new interdisciplinary perspectives.
  • A person who has completed a master’s degree can apply for a scholarship for dissertation research.
  • The foreign applicant must show a clear connection to a Finnish university, research collaboration with the Finnish academic community or particularly good reasons for how the research can benefit Finnish business.
Grant information:

Grants will be announced in November-December on the Fund’s website and will be notified to recipients via email.

  • You can apply for a personal scholarship for 4, 6, 9 or 12 months.
  • The full-time 12-month employment grants for dissertation research are E 24,000 euros, including statutory Myel insurance and other work-related expenses.
  • Separately, dissertation researchers can apply for one target grant for a conference or other study trip in addition to the work grant.
  • One of the following uses will be selected for the grant application:
  • Dissertation
  • Conference trip
  • Study visit or other study trip
  • Arranging a conference or seminar
  • Foreign degree
  • Preparation of teaching materials
  • Other use, what?

Programmes: DD PhD in Business Economics

Purposes: Researchers will be encouraged to carry out pioneering research and to compile and acquire new data and databases, with the aim of integrating research into innovation ecosystems.
