Communication and Information Studies
The Bachelor's degree programme in Communication and Information Studies (CIS) explores communication from a language-centered perspective. Throughout the CIS programme, you will examine how communication is shaped by the goals of an organization, the medium through which it is delivered, and the context in which it takes place.
Communication is everywhere - whether in news articles, flyers, or TV commercials. In these documents professionals carefully decide what information to present and how to convey it. That’s exactly what CIS is about. For example:

How can doctors effectively communicate with patients with low literacy skills?
To tackle these kinds of questions, the program offers a multidisciplinary training, bringing together insights from linguistics, psychology, sociology, and marketing.

This introduction will give you a clear insight of the diverse fields in which CIS graduates can conduct research or help improve communication strategies and policies.
