After a short introduction by the study advisor you will attend a number of lectures. This gives you a good example of what a day as an ACM student looks like. Between these lectures you have to opportunity to talk to students of the program. A number of students from the study association will accompany you for lunch in the canteen of the Faculty of Arts. |

These students are now following the program you are interested in and therefore know exactly how difficult the choice of study can be. You can ask them anything about the study, the city Groningen and student life. You are expected to participate actively as it is an interactive session. |

| English Language and Culture |
On this day you'll attend two classes from the course offer of the department of English Language and Culture. Most of the time you will join actual classes together with regular students; sometimes your class will be specifically for you and other prospective students. The final programme and precise locations (in the centre of Groningen) will only be known about one week in advance. You will also be able to talk to students about their experience of studying here, and the study advisor will be present to answer your questions. Prospective students from the final year of Dutch secondary education (6 VWO) take precedence. |

The degree programme in European Languages and Cultures (Europese Talen en Culturen in Dutch) is designed to meet the growing need for academically trained experts with: a deep understanding of the major social, political, cultural and linguistic questions in and about Europe today and excellent language skills in several European languages. At ELC Student for a Day, you will be introduced to the programme and participate in content courses, lectures and language classes. |

Our Student for a Day event shows you what it is like to study at our faculty. Together with a group of approximately 15 other prospective students, you will be given a presentation about the bachelor programme and you will join a (second year) lecture that is given to our students. You will also get to experience what kind of case studies are being used in our lectures because you will get to work on one yourself. We will also show you around our faculty and give you the opportunity to ask our students what it is like to study here. The study advisor of the faculty will join you at the end of the day for answering any remaining questions. The Student for a Day event is organized for prospective students from vwo 6 (or international students in their exam year). Usually, it is best if prospective students first visit an Open Day before joining the Student for a Day event, but this is not an obligatory order. Depending on the nationality of the prospective students present that day, the day will be in English or in Dutch. Please keep in mind the bachelor programme itself will be fully taught in English. |

| Archeologie | Tijdens Een Dag Student bij Archeologie maak je kennis met de opleiding door aan te schuiven bij een regulier eerstejaars college en deel te nemen aan een workshop met archeologisch materiaal. Daarnaast is er een gezamenlijke lunch (graag je eigen lunch meenemen). Studentambassadeur Rindert is op deze dag het aanspreekpunt voor alle deelnemers. Uiteraard is er genoeg tijd om vragen te stellen! |
| Bedrijfskunde | Tijdens dit voorlichtingsevenement ga je gedurende 2,5 uur aan de hand van korte colleges en een case vragen beantwoorden over specifieke onderwerpen van de studie om zo een beeld te krijgen van hoe het is om hier te komen studeren. Je zult dus aan de slag gaan met andere VWO-scholieren en je ontmoet ouderejaars studenten. Deze studenten volgen nu de studie waar jij in geïnteresseerd bent en weten dus precies hoe moeilijk de studiekeuze kan zijn. Je kunt hen alles vragen over de studie, de stad Groningen en het studentenleven. Er wordt wel van je verwacht dat je actief meedoet aangezien het een interactieve sessie is. |
| Bewegings- wetenschappen |
Ben je geïnteresseerd in Bewegingswetenschappen en wil je sfeer komen proeven? In het voor- en najaar wordt er een aantal meeloopmomenten georganiseerd. Tijdens deze ochtend of middag maak je kennis met één van onze studentvoorlichters. Je krijgt een inhoudelijk kijkje in een vak uit de bachelor door het volgen van een college. Na het volgen van het college geeft de studentvoorlichter een presentatie over de inhoud van de opleiding. Deze student is ervaringsdeskundige, en kan dus goed je vragen beantwoorden! Ook maakt een rondleiding onderdeel uit van het programma, zodat je alvast een idee krijgt waar je gaat studeren. |
| Filosofie | Bij "Eén Dag Student" van de Faculteit Wijsbegeerte volg je college alsof je al een filosofiestudent bent. Je volgt om 9.00 uur een regulier hoorcollege (inloggen om 08:45 uur), en aansluitend is er van 11.00 tot 13.00/14.00 uur een werkcollege. Daarin bespreek je de stof van het hoorcollege en de teksten die in het hoorcollege centraal staan. In de week voorafgaand aan de dag dat je komt, sturen we je de teksten en leesvragen bij het college ter voorbereiding. We gaan er niet van uit dat je alles begrepen hebt, maar zo krijg je wel een indruk van hoe het is om een dag filosofie te studeren! Na afloop van het college kun je vragen stellen aan een paar huidige eerstejaars studenten en de studieadviseur. Over de inhoud van de studie, het programma en alles wat je verder wilt weten over filosofie studeren aan de RUG. |
| Geschiedenis | Na de ontvangst is er een korte toelichting op het studieprogramma en vervolgens volg je een hoorcollege met huidige eerstejaars studenten. Daarna is er een lunch met ouderejaars studenten (neem je eigen lunch mee!) en vervolgens krijg je een werkcollege zoals die ook tijdens de studie gegeven wordt. |
| Griekse en Latijnse taal en cultuur |
Na de ontvangst en lunch met docenten en studenten begin je met een college Drama met huidige studenten. In de collegereeks Drama I en II worden Griekse en Romeinse tragedies en komedies bestudeerd. Daarna volgt een college Cultuurhistorie van de Oudheid. Dit college is een inleiding in de Oude Geschiedenis, Archeologie en Antieke Filosofie van de Griekse en Romeinse beschavingen in de Oudheid. Je eindigt de dag met een activiteit van de studievereniging Boreas. |

| Kunsten, Cultuur en Media | Na een korte introductie door de studieadviseur kun je deze dag een paar colleges bijwonen. Deze geven je een beeld van hoe een dag van een student KCM er uit ziet. Tussen de colleges door is er gelegenheid met studenten van de opleiding te spreken. Een aantal studenten van de studievereniging vergezelt jullie bij de lunch in de kantine van de Letteren Faculteit. |
| Kunstgeschiedenis | Na een korte introductie door de studieadviseur kun je deze dag een paar colleges bijwonen. Deze geven je een beeld van hoe een dag van een student Kunstgeschiedenis er uit ziet. Tussen de colleges door is er gelegenheid met studenten van de opleiding te spreken. Een aantal studenten van de studievereniging vergezelt jullie bij de lunch in de kantine van de Letteren Faculteit. |
| Midden-Oostenstudies | Als je geïnteresseerd bent in Midden-Oostenstudies en je bent benieuwd hoe het is om deze studie te volgen, is het een aanrader om een dagje mee te lopen. Je schuift dan aan bij eerstejaarsstudenten. Zo krijg je een beeld van de opleiding en bovendien krijg je een goede indruk van hoe het is om in de collegebanken te zitten. De dag begint met een warm welkom en een korte introductie. Gedurende de dag is er natuurlijk alle ruimte om vragen te stellen en volop gelegenheid om studenten Midden-Oostenstudies te spreken. Als je je na deze meeloopdag naar huis begeeft, heb je waarschijnlijk voldoende gezien en gehoord om te beslissen of Midden-Oostenstudies iets voor jou is. We zien je graag volgend studiejaar terug in de collegezalen! |

| Pedagogische Wetenschappen |
"Een dag student Pedagogische Wetenschappen bestaat uit verschillende onderdelen: er is een presentatie over de opleiding Pedagogische Wetenschappen, een rondleiding over de faculteit en je volgt een deel van een (eerstejaars) college. Ook kan je al je vragen stellen aan de studentassistenten, die zelf Pedagogische Wetenschappen studeren. Je volgt de één dag student in een groep van ongeveer 20 scholieren, begeleid door 2 studenten. Let op: Deze voorlichtingsactiviteit is bedoeld voor scholieren uit vwo 6 die zich al georiënteerd hebben op de opleiding Pedagogische Wetenschappen door bijvoorbeeld een open dag te bezoeken. Scholieren uit vwo 6 hebben dan ook voorrang op eventuele aanmelding van scholieren uit lagere klassen. Aanmeldingen van scholieren uit lagere klassen dan vwo 6 worden op een wachtlijst geplaatst. Wanneer er plekken over zijn, worden zij op volgorde van aanmelding geplaatst. Daarnaast is de één dag student ook heel geschikt voor hbo- studenten die willen overstappen, of voor studenten die al aan een universiteit studeren en overwegen van studie te switchen." |
| Rechtsgeleerdheid | Eén dag student rechten bestaat uit verschillende onderdelen. We laten je bijvoorbeeld ervaren hoe het is om college te volgen. Twee ervaren docenten geven college in twee verschillende rechtsgebieden. De onderwerpen verschillen per keer, maar sluiten veelal aan bij de actualiteit. Ook ga je in gesprek met de studieadviseur. Op intensieve wijze maak je kennis met het bijzondere karakter van de studie en de stad! Daarnaast is het ook een hele leuke en gezellige dag, met veel contact met studenten, docenten en studieadviseurs. Kortom: de ideale voorbereiding op je studiekeuze. Jij wilt toch ook de goede keuze voor je vervolgopleiding maken?! Het complete programma wordt een week van tevoren bekend gemaakt. |
| Rechtsgeleerdheid, Juridische Bestuurskunde |
Ben jij benieuwd of de track juridische bestuurskunde (voorheen recht en bestuur) in Groningen voor jou de juiste keuze is? Tijdens Eén dag juridische bestuurskunde krijg je een beeld van de studie, maar maak je ook kennis met afgestudeerden, zodat je je een beeld kunt vormen van het werkveld. Gedurende de gehele dag worden je vragen beantwoord in informele gesprekken met studenten, docenten en praktijkdeskundigen. |
| Religiewetenschappen | Denk je erover om Religiewetenschappen te gaan studeren en wil je echt een goed beeld krijgen van wat de studie inhoudt? Kom dan naar 'Een dag Student'! Op deze dag volg je proefcolleges van vakken die worden aangeboden binnen de opleiding, zodat je goed weet wat je kunt gaan verwachten. Je maakt deze dag dus echt kennis met de inhoud van de studie. Daarnaast neem je alvast een voorproefje op het studentenleven aan de faculteit. En uiteraard is er heel de dag genoeg tijd om studenten en docenten het hemd van het lijf te vragen. De dag is gratis. |
| Taalwetenschap | Als je geïnteresseerd bent in Taalwetenschap en je bent benieuwd hoe het is om deze studie te volgen, is het een aanrader om een dagje mee te lopen. Je schuift dan aan bij eerstejaarsstudenten. Zo krijg je een beeld van de opleiding en bovendien krijg je een goede indruk hoe het is om in de collegebanken te zitten. De dag begint met een warm welkom en een korte introductie. Vervolgens bezoek je een hoorcollege en sluit je aan bij een werkcollege. Gedurende de dag is er natuurlijk alle ruimte om vragen te stellen en volop gelegenheid om studenten Taalwetenschap te spreken.
