Reimbursement

  • Do I get a refund for tuition fees after my deregistration?

You are entitled to a reimbursement of 1/12 of the tuition fees for each month of the academic year in which you are no longer registered.

You must submit your request for deregistration via Studielink before the end of the academic year to be entitled to reimbursement of tuition fees.

Please note: There are no reimbursement of tuition fees for the months of July and August.  You are not entitled to reimbursement if you deregister for a pre-master programme, unless you have filed a request for deregistration via Studielink in the first three months of your enrollment.

More information can be found on the our website.
  • Is it correct that tuition fees are still being debited from my account now that I have graduated and deregistered?

It sometimes takes time before your request (via Studielink) is completely processed. Before you can actually be deregistered, the University of Groningen has to wait for your Faculty to send the results of your final examination. This may take as long as two months. If you have been waiting even longer, please contact the Student Information and Administration.
