Student Assessor

The Student Assessor for the academic year 2026/2027 is Hannah Meyer.
The Student Assessor serves as the link between students and the Faculty Board of Campus Fryslân. In this role, Hannah advises the Faculty Board, which includes the Dean (Tjalling Halbertsma), the Vice Dean and Educational Director (Indira van der Zande), the Managing Director (Piet Bouma), as well as the secretaries Paula Schuit and Jane O’Keefe.
She represents the student perspective by communicating students’ ideas, concerns, challenges and wishes during weekly board meetings and discussions on education, student wellbeing, policy and other student-related matters. She also helps communicate important decisions, strategies and initiatives back to the student community.
Beyond the Faculty Board, Hannah works closely with other student bodies, including the Faculty Council, Programme Committees and the study association NCF. She participates in formal and informal meetings where student input on educational policy and student affairs is valuable and collaborates with staff, programme directors and educational policy advisors across the faculty.
In addition, Hannah is part of the Committee of Assessors (CvA), in which StudentAssessors from all RUG faculties meet regularly to discuss university-wide developments, exchange insights and represent student interests at the broader university level.
What matters most to Hannah is that students feel heard, represented and connected. She aims to be approachable and accessible to everyone at CF, whether they have feedback, questions, concerns or simply want to chat. Hannah believes that Campus Fryslân’s close-knit and international community is one of its greatest strengths and hopes to contribute to making it even stronger. During her year as Student Assessor, she aims to strengthen connections between students, staff and student organisations while also building closer ties with other faculties of the University of Groningen.
If you have an idea, concern, question or suggestion, feel free to reach out. You can always approach her in person or via email with any questions.
Hannah looks forward to working together with the community to make Campus Fryslân an even better place for all students.
