As part of the International top conference on speech technology (Speech Synthesis Workshop) there is a Blizzard Challenge. This is an international competition between technology teams.
The theme of this edition of SSW is “Scaling down: sustainable synthesis for language diversity”. The challenge focuses on synthesizing speech for Bildts, a unique language variety from the Netherlands. This is in line with the theme of this edition of SSW is “Scaling down: sustainable synthesis for language diversity”.
