Junyu Zhang

Junyu Zhang is a political scientist and researcher at Campus Fryslân, studying the politics, policies, and governance models that drive sustainability transitions in the agri-food sector. His work applies a critical policy perspective, combining discourse analysis, political process tracing, and actor-network analysis. With expertise in both the EU and China, Junyu brings a comparative lens to transition governance. While his research has traditionally relied on qualitative methods such as interviews, observations, and document analysis, he is increasingly exploring participatory approaches that engage citizens in community-led sustainability initiatives.
