Admission and application

Admission

As our programme is selective, students must pass a two-step selection procedure in order to be offered a place on the programme. To apply online for the  Master in Sustainable Entrepreneurship offered by Campus Fryslân, please visit the Admissions Guide and read the instructions on the different application steps carefully.

A summary:

1. Apply via Studielink (for all applicants) and via the Online Application System (OAS, for International degrees). You will need to include the following documents in your application if you have a non-Dutch diploma;

  • An undergraduate programme,  from a research university in, business administration, econometrics and operational research, economy and business administration, international business, human geography and urban and regional planning, spatial planning and design, mechanical engineering, international relations and organization, University College Global Responsibility and Leadership or comparable degree's.
  • A minimum GPA of 6.5/10 or equivalent
  • A motivation
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • English language proficiency (https://www.rug.nl/cf/cse/for-students/newwebpages/language-requirements)
  • Two letters of recommendation from persons that can support your application (such as university teachers, supervisors of individual research projects).
  • Copy of passport

If you have a Dutch diploma you will need to include the following documents in your application;

  • An undergraduate programme,  from a research university in, business administration, econometrics and operational research, economy and business administration, international business, human geography and urban and regional planning, spatial planning and design, mechanical engineering, international relations and organization, University College Global Responsibility and Leadership or comparable degree's.

  • Curriculum Vitae

Your motivation should include your experience and interest in the areas of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability. Since your selection will be partly dependent on your motivation concerning these topics, we highly recommend you to include these criteria.  You can only send in your motivation once. 

2. Selection criteria:

  • Your GPA (min. 6.5/10 or equivalent)

Selection procedure 

 1. First, the Admission Office will look at your general application (Studielink & OAS) and diploma eligibility. You will be informed by the Admission Office if you are conditionally admissible for our programme or not. 

2. In the second round, the Admission Board assesses your eligibility looking at your GPA and motivation. Since the Admission Board will score your files based on your GPA and motivation letter, we strongly advise you to include your experience and interest in the areas of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability in your motivation. 

The first highest ranked applications will be selected for our programme. You will be informed after May, 1 whether or not you're selected for the MSc Sustainable Entrepreneurship.

Because the programme only admits 40 students each year, we advise you to apply as soon as possible, especially for non-EU nationalities or nationalities it is important to apply well in time because of the visa application.
