Sustainable Entrepreneurship in the Wadden Sea: Linking sustainable growth with nature protection

In this project, Hellen Dawo, Dr Tom Long and Prof Gjalt de Jong collaborate in the PROWAD Link consortium, with the aim of unlocking the potential of nature and heritage areas to be drivers of jobs and sustainable development. In doing so, the project seeks to link sustainable growth with nature protection. The project is undertaken by a consortium of actors from Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom. Campus Fryslan's role in the project focuses on, first, the identification of drivers and barriers for sustainable entrepreneurship in the Wadden Sea region, and second, how best to generate new, and support existing sustainable entrepreneurs through the application of sustainable business modelling tools. The project is funded by Interreg and the European Union. More information can be found at www.northsearegion.eu/prowad-link.
