The University of Groningen celebrates its 410 years existence.
You are very welcome to join us at the Alumni Day on Saturday, May 25.
There are so many reasons to go: an interesting lecture, a pleasant lunch on the Academieplein, a tour through the city center past bars, the university and all kinds of mini-colleges and –of course- you can finally catch up with your old study friends or teachers.
Program
10:30 - 11:00: Reception with coffee and tea in the Spiegelzaal, Academy Building
11:00 - 11:15: Opening in the Aula, Academy Building
11:15 – 11:45: Lecture André Aleman - The power of mental imagination (participation is free)
11:45 - 12:00: Announcement of the Alumnus of the Year
12:00 – 1:00 PM: Joint lunch at the academy square (Academieplein) (participation 10 euros)
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM: On lecture tour through the city center - Meet your favorite teacher (participation 7.50 euros)
You must register separately to participate in the lecture, lunch and lecture tour.
The Alumni Day is part of the 82nd lustrum of the RUG. Of course you are also very welcome to attend the other anniversary activities.
