LCP Best Practices Meeting on Research and Assumptions
The University of Groningen (UG) has a long history of internationalization and has always been open to other languages and cultures. The Language and Culture Policy (LCP), drawn up in 2015, is a strong tool in the further internationalization of our University. The aim of the UG LCP is to make all staff members and students feel at home as well as confident and comfortable in using another language than their mother tongue, so that we can all be effective in what we do in the pursuit of academic excellence.
In 2017, the LCP project team started organizing Best Practices meetings. These meetings aim to share the best practices as well as the ‘best failures’ of the Language and Culture Policy (LCP) projects within the UG’s faculties and service departments. These meetings hopefully help to address challenges that staff members may experience in their work on LCP projects and provide opportunities to network with and garner advice from colleagues across the University. If you would like to be invited to upcoming LCP Best Practices meetings, please send an email to email@example.com.
Our next LCP Best Practices meeting will take place on 29 January 2019. The topic of the meeting is Research and Assumptions on Language and Culture. Lunch will be provided.
