Internationalization at home

The University of Groningen has around 5000 international students from over 120 different nationalities – which helps to create a vibrant academic community. Twenty percent of our staff and sixty percent of all PhD students are from abroad.

The University of Groningen has participated in the International Student Barometer since 2007 alongside several other national and international institutions. The result has been that many international students are satisfied with the University (92% - above that seen nationally and globally at other participating institutions) and would happily recommend studying here.
