Improved prosperity without economic growth

20 March 2013

The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) recently awarded a prestigious Vici grant to Prof. Herman de Jong. The professor of Economic History has 1.5 million to spend on research into the European prosperity paradox concerning the 1913-1950 era, a time when economic stagnation coincided with a rapid improvement in quality of life.

The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
