Transit of Venus 2012

On 6 June there was a transit of Venus – a phenomenon that not only drew the attention of professional and amateur astronomers but also that of the general public. Cameras and telescopes were everywhere to be seen. Astronomy professor Peter Barthel explains that the transit of Venus is still scientifically interesting.
