Following the September 2011 release of the Alumni Song in English, a version in the Groningen dialect has now also been written: the Alumnilaid. Vocals: Frank den Hollander (University of Groningen Library staff member), accompaniment: Noordpool Orkest. The University of Groningen is now one of the select few international teaching institutions to have its own Alumni Song. The Alumnilaid is based on the original song written by Frank den Hollander (lyrics), University staff member Dicky Gilbers (music), and University student Bart van Overbeek (vocals).
