University Library presents historical treasures online
The University Library has a large new online image database, presenting in digital form the University of Groningen’s heritage: historical maps, old manuscripts and book bindings, photos of archaeological excavations and church interiors. The database includes more than 65,000 images of items from the historical and research collections. The site offers wonderful visual material for both professional researchers and amateur enthusiasts. A lot of attention has been paid to the appearance and user-friendliness of the site, in order to improve accessibility.
