About my research
"As an archaeologist I investigate the impact of the Roman empire on the lives of subject peoples in the provinces, and how this encounter between distinct cultures in the past helps us to understand similar processes in our current, globalized world. For instance, how did people navigate the strong pull towards integration into Roman culture while preserving one’s own traditions, such as religious practices or burial customs."
