Visit Turkish Consul General, Muammer Hakan Cengiz
On 6th July the new Consul General of the Turkish Republic, Mr. Muammer Hakan Cengiz came for an introduction visit to Groningen. He was welcomed by President Jouke de Vries and was interested in learning about the university’s collaborations with Turkey and the strategy of “Making connections”. The consul mentioned that the consulate in Deventer may help to connect researchers to Turkish research institutions or industry.
UG scientists, scholars and a student had a meeting with the consul as well and could give first hand information on their work and life in Groningen.
