On 6 March 2023, the Swiss Ambassador H.E. Heinz Walker – Nederkoorn gave two guest lectures at the University of Groningen, on invitation of the Faculty of Arts (Chair of language learning) and the Faculty of Law (International and European Law). President Jouke de Vries took the opportunity to welcome the ambassador and his hosts in the Curators room.

The Swiss – Dutch – European relations were the talk of the town that day. The Ambassador was happy to learn about the multiple cooperation UG has with Swiss universities in projects and networks. Most recently, the University of Bern became associate member of ENLIGHT. This is just one example that Swiss Universities and UG are at the same page when it comes to innovation in higher education and research.
