Save the Date: Presidents’ Summit, Osaka University
On 30 April Osaka University (Japan) will host the Presidents’ Summit to celebrate Osaka’s 90th anniversary and the centenary of the Osaka University of Foreign Studies. Under the theme of The Role of Universities in Facing Societal Challenges and Recovering from COVID-19, the Presidents of seven participating universities will address common objectives, such as the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
The online event will serve as a platform for forging closer collaboration among Osaka’s Global Knowledge Partners. Prof. Jouke de Vries, together with the Presidents of Osaka University, Mahidol University (Thailand), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China), University College London (UK), University of British Columbia (Canada), and University of California, Davis (USA) will sign a joint statement outlining shared priorities for joint collaborative activities in research and education.
