Mentor Programme (speed date event)
Do you want to learn from more senior colleagues about topics like work-life balance, career development, stress management, or other subjects? Then join the YoungRUG Mentor Programme as a mentee!
Since 2019, YoungRUG, in collaboration with HR, has been running this mentoring programme for young professionals. In this programme, young professionals (mentees) are paired with experienced colleagues (mentors) to embark on an inspiring journey of professional growth together.
The goal? Mutual learning! A mentor shares personal knowledge and expertise to support your development. As a mentee, whether you're new to the job market or to the UG, you can gain valuable insights and find inspiration for your career path.
Become a mentee
1. Sign up
If you want to be a mentee, make sure to sign up before 14 July and fill out the preferences that you have for topics to discuss with your mentor. |
2. Mentee preparation workshop
During the workshop you'll learn what you can expect from your mentor, but also what your mentor expects from you. This ensures you get the most out of the experience.
Note: To join as a mentee, you must attend the workshop.
When? 14 September 2026, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
3. Speeddate event
Since you signed up, we’ve worked to find three potential mentors for you. At the September speed date event, you’ll meet each in a 10-minute session. Afterward, share your top 3 choices, and we’ll reveal your perfect match the following week. Note: To join as a mentee, you must attend the speed date event.
When? 24 September 2025, 3.30 - 4.30 p.m.
4. Your own journey
After the most successful match is made, you and your mentor make appointments to meet each other yourselves.
When? About 5 meetings between October 2026 and April 2027 (depending on your needs) |
Please note that there is a limited number of mentors and application is on a first-come-first-serve basis. In the unfortunate event that a suitable matching option is unavailable, you may not be paired with a mentor following the speed date event.
