About the lecture

Who really controls our digital world? Today, nearly all cloud infrastructure - the backbone of trade, research, AI, and even university collaboration - is in the hands of a few American corporations. This raises urgent questions for Europe (and for the University of Groningen): How do we safeguard data storage, mail and office applications, computing power, and more? In this lecture, Assoc. Prof. Oskar Gstrein explores the risks of digital dependency and the opportunities for Europe to build its own path toward true data autonomy
