Meeting | The Urgency of the Water Transition

On 18 November, the University of Groningen organizes a Meeting on water, in collaboration with the Hanze University of Applied Sciences. The central theme is the urgency of the water transition.

The goal of this meeting is to talk about the various challenges concerning safeguarding the drinking water supply and its quality that we face in the Northern Netherlands, to make connections and collaborate.

The programme starts with several keynotes, after which an interactive panel discussion takes place. We close the programme with lunch, during which you will have plenty of time to network and talk to like-minded people.

This event is jointly organised by the Wubbo Ockels School for Energy and Climate (University of Groningen), Research & Impact Cluster (University of Groningen) and department of Climate Adaptation, Research Centre for Built Environment - NoorderRuimte (Hanze University of Applied Sciences)

  • Gert Jan Euverink (University of Groningen) - Alternative sources for clean water
  • Pepijn Vemer (Klimatorium Nederland) - Water in and around the house: what can residents do to influence water management in their area?
