
Sara Moazzen

Sara Moazzen manages the full grant lifecycle at the Department of Epidemiology, overseeing both pre-award and post-award phases. Her responsibilities include identifying national and international funding opportunities, coordinating research consortia, guiding proposal development, reviewing applications, and supporting early-career researchers in applying for fellowships and grants. In the post-award phase, she is responsible for project management, compliance with funding requirements, monitoring progress, and preparing reports for funders and stakeholders.
Sara holds a PhD in Health Sciences and has extensive experience in research support and project coordination within multidisciplinary teams. She is proficient in a broad range of funding schemes, including Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), European Innovation Council (EIC) Pathfinder, Horizon Europe, Dutch Cancer Society (KWF), World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF), Dutch Heart Foundation as well as Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMw grants).
Her academic background and professional expertise contribute to the effective preparation and management of grant proposals, ensuring the advancement of high-quality research initiatives.
