Research interests

My main interests are conservation genomics, evolvability, adaptive mechanisms and senescence. I have worked on theoretical models of the role of plasticity in adaptation to changing environments and I currently work on the effects of inbreeding on transposable element dynamics, senescence and genome evolvability.

PhD project:  Inbreeding, mitochondrial performance and senescence in birds
