Research interests

Paul Jutte (MD PhD) is orthopaedic surgeon since 2003. He completed a fellowship in orthopedic oncology in Bologna (Italy) (2003)  and Los Angeles (USA) (2005). His PhD was on spinal tuberculosis (2000-2006). His present position is full professor in orthopaedic surgery and department head at the University Medical Center Groningen, The Netherlands. He founded a regional clinical network for orthopedic infections and osteoarthritis care and holds several chair positions.

His current clinical research work is aimed at minimizing tissue damage, improving diagnosis, safety and efficacy of surgical treatment of tumor and infection. He published over 200 peer reviewed papers (H-factor >40) and is co-program leader of MBM (Man Biomaterials Microbes), a research line at PRECISION institute at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.
