As a human movement scientist with a specific interest in the interaction between the somatosensory and motor systems, my research takes a multidisciplinary view and combines human movement sciences with neuroscientific, neurophysiological and biomechanical approaches. I am particularly dedicated to use state-of-the art technology to understand and improve motor function, learning and memory in the context of physiological and pathological ageing.
Example projects:
Somatosensory targeted memory reactivation to enhance motor memory consolidation of experimental finger-tapping and functional walking skills.
Neurophysiological correlates of passive movements (within the Move-In-Age consortium)
