As an assistant professor at the University of Groningen, I am/was involved in teaching the following courses:

  • Introduction to International and European Law (1st year LLB)
  • Public International Law (2nd year LLB)
  • Research Seminar (2nd year LLB)
  • United Nations Peacekeeping and Peace Enforcement (LLM)
  • International Institutional Law (LLM) - course coordinator as of September 2025
  • International Dispute Settlement (LLM)
  • Seminar International Law in the 21st Century (LLM)
  • Introduction to International and European Law (Faculty of Arts, Bachelor's)
  • Honours College Moot Court course (3rd year LLB)

Yearly I am involved in supervising Bachelor and Master theses and up to June 2025 I have supervised a total of 27 theses.

I am interested in supervising topics that fall under:

  • international dispute settlement (particularly, evidence before international courts and fact-finding missions/commissions of inquiry),
  • violence in contexts marked by power assymetries as human rights violations (especially domestic violence, obstetric violence, institutional violence in State care)
  • the law of international organizations.

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have dedicated my time to mentoring and training exceptional students for international moot court competitions. I have previously coached teams for the Helga Pedersen Moot European Court of Human Rights moot court competition (2024-2025; 2023-2024) and for the Telders (International Court of Justice) moot court competition (2023-2024). Two of the teams that I coached have not only qualified for the international rounds of these competitions, but also made it in the top 7 teams (overall or for one of the Applicant/Respondent) out of a total of 64 and 27 teams respectively.
