My research explores how narrative structures and genre conventions shape emotional and cognitive responses, drawing on neuroscientific frameworks to illuminate the mechanisms underlying simulative experiences and reader engagement. By bringing together literary and cognitive theoretical frameworks and insights from the empirical sciences, my work contributes to a multidisciplinary understanding of how and why we respond to fiction the way we do and what those responses reveal about the reading brain.
