Her PhD research is conducted as part of the ESSENTIAL Project, funded through the EU's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (MSCA-ITN), Grant Agreement No.772482.

ESSENTIAL seeks to develop the field of security science through addressing two  main issues: the ad-hoc approach to security research and the growing complexity of the security environment. The project therefore seeks to (a) train multi-disciplinary security experts in order to tackle security threats in a systemic manner and (b) increase societyal resilience and security by addressing research topics in an interdisciplinary manner.
