PhD project: The effect of agricultural intensification on biodiversity and ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes

My research is about analysing agricultural landscapes as socio-ecological systems, and aims at finding useful information to support managing decisions for conservation by analysing trade-offs between agricultural productivity and biodiversity conservation measures. More specific, I analyse the effects of agri-environment schemes interventions and its spatial configuration on the abundance of meadow birds and its consequences for agricultural and farm households productivity.
