At the University of Utrecht, he conducted research on inclusive bottom-up initiatives and the legal framework on the local energy transition (heat and electricity) in the Netherlands.

Education

Klaas holds a BA in History and an LLB in Law with a double specialization in Dutch Law and European and International Law from the University of Groningen.

He also obtained an LLM degree in Energy and Climate Law (cum laude) from the University of Groningen.
