J. (Jade) Vetters

Jade Vetters is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Operations, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen. She obtained her PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp in 2026. Her doctoral research focused on the end-of-life phase of offshore wind farms, combining stakeholder research with multi-actor techno-economic analysis to study how costs, risks, and value are distributed across the decommissioning and recycling supply chain. Before starting her PhD, she worked at the European Commission on research and policy related to clean mobility, vehicle emissions, and circularity.

At the University of Groningen, she works on the TKI Dinalog-funded RESLOEP project (Responsible End-of-Life Solutions for Logistics in Offshore Energy Projects). Her broader research interests lie at the intersection of technology, operations and supply-chain management, circular economy, and policy, with a particular focus on how coordination and operational decisions can enable circular clean-technology supply chains.

Her research has been published in Applied Energy, Energy Research & Social Science, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews.
