J.C. (John) Falvey, MA

I work as a policy advisor in International Strategy and Relations (ISR) for south Asia, southeast Asia and Oceania, with a particular focus on India, Indonesia, and Australia. I manage the university's relations with two of our nine strategic partner universities: Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Our department provides input to institutional strategy for internationalization, advises the Executive Board of the University, and manages relations with stakeholders such as partner universities, national governments and their embassies. 

I am also a member of team Bestuurlijke Informatievoorziening (BIV), which works on institutional research to provide insights to the university's operations through data analysis and interpretation. My role here is to coordinate the domain 'internationalization' to help find ways to measure the university's international policy goals, and in turn feed into data-informed and measurable strategy. 

Other areas of expertise include: the university's Multi-Faculty Exchange programme, and international student recruitment strategy and operations.
